These boots were made for snow-trekkin’

Winter arrived the other night. When I went to bed the ground was bare and the next morning, like magic, my yard was covered in snow. Snow up to my belly, in places.

As I mentioned in my haiku the day of the vole incident, my winter fur has not yet come in and mum bought me a sweater. Unfortunately, the sweater does not cover my belly. Cold, wet snow on my bare belly is not my idea of puggy-good-times.

Because she is a smart human, mum also bought me a snowsuit complete with a removable hood and booties. When she bought the outfit, the nice lady from Dawgy Designs told us that I would have to get used to wearing the booties in the house before taking them outside.

Here is a video of me learning to walk in my booties for the very first time.

In case that wasn’t humiliating enough, she then trussed me up in the entire outfit for pictures. The coat and boots were ok, but the hood? The hood is too much.

All the liver treats in the world won't make me forgive you for this.

With the camera put away and the stupid hood taken off, we were finally ready take my new outfit for a test drive.

I love my new coat and I really don’t mind the boots. I was able to run through the deep snow was still comfortable enough to pose for more pictures.

Did you say "Walk?"

My shout-out to Old Man Winter: Bring it!

About Sabrina's Pug Tails

My name is Sabrina. I am a three year old fawn pug who lives with my three humans and my brother-cat Shinobi. I came to live with my family in February of 2010. I don’t remember much about my life before that. I know that I didn’t have a nice warm bed to sleep in or soft couches to lay on. I was rescued from my previous life by the Boston Terrier & Pug Rescue of Southern Manitoba along with my brother, sister and mom. My human mum tells me that some dogs work at being smart and some work at being cute, and I am very, very cute. I think there may be some kind of insult here………

I think that hood-while really, really cute-could border on Doggy Humiliation.

Alright, considering how hard I laughed at the hood picture-but it’s really, really cute!-yeah, it is Doggy Humiliation! 🙂

Are you kidding? That hood is the best part! You are like a lion-pug, Sabrina!
