How Pug-time is better than gym-time

Part of mum’s resolutions was to get in to better shape and possibly join a gym. One my resolutions was to blog on a regular basis.

Well mum got a free trial pass to a gym and has been using it for all it’s worth. Oh, and she’s convinced The Will to go play at the gym as well. Because of this, there is no one home to turn on the computer and help me write my blogs. I think I am getting the short end of the chewy here. Did I mention the definite lack in human snuggles? I’ve been a very lonely Pug lately.

Now I certainly wouldn’t want to stand in the way of anybody’s resolutions so I’ve come up with some alternatives that should make everybody happy.

1. Exercise at home.
You have one of those video game things with the balance board. Use it! I’d even help. At the very least, I’d be in your corner cheering you on.
Imagine how much more fun yoga could be with me snuffling in your hair. I could be your own personal trainer, ready to drop the pug-bomb in your general direction when you try to slack off your step exercises.

2. Take your Pug for a walk.
How can this be exercise when I can’t even make it around the block without complaining that I’m too cold?
Well, I never said anything about me actually walking. You would carry me of course. Just think, it’s a workout for your legs and your arms. I hear 15 pounds can get quite heavy after a couple blocks. As I see it, this is a win/win situation.

About Sabrina's Pug Tails

My name is Sabrina. I am a three year old fawn pug who lives with my three humans and my brother-cat Shinobi. I came to live with my family in February of 2010. I don’t remember much about my life before that. I know that I didn’t have a nice warm bed to sleep in or soft couches to lay on. I was rescued from my previous life by the Boston Terrier & Pug Rescue of Southern Manitoba along with my brother, sister and mom. My human mum tells me that some dogs work at being smart and some work at being cute, and I am very, very cute. I think there may be some kind of insult here………
