A reunion, new beginnings and sad good-byes

You may remember some time ago that Tyra had been adopted by a family from Regina. She has happily settled into her new home and routine and loves her new name – Petal.

Her new family had driven 7 hours just to come get her.  By the time they were ready to start their long trek home, they had already decided they would be coming back……. for Freya.

Can you believe it?

Freya has lived through hell and survived to tell you about it. She has submitted herself to extensive surgery and a difficult recovery so that she will be able to walk without pain.

All Freya has ever wanted was to be loved and find a family to call her own. And this weekend all her wishes came true.

But first, lets see how our reunion with Petal went…….

Here is a picture of Freya and Petal with her new family – and me, of course.  This is her new mom and dad. The boys had to stay home, but you know they were anxious for Freya’s arrival.
You and me, Freya – we will always be the best of friends. You are my soul-sister.

I miss you so much, my heart aches. I know you have found the very best family you ever could have wished for. I just wish they didn’t have to live so far away.

About Sabrina's Pug Tails

My name is Sabrina. I am a three year old fawn pug who lives with my three humans and my brother-cat Shinobi. I came to live with my family in February of 2010. I don’t remember much about my life before that. I know that I didn’t have a nice warm bed to sleep in or soft couches to lay on. I was rescued from my previous life by the Boston Terrier & Pug Rescue of Southern Manitoba along with my brother, sister and mom. My human mum tells me that some dogs work at being smart and some work at being cute, and I am very, very cute. I think there may be some kind of insult here………

That video made us smile. In fact, we are still smiling cause of all the cuteness, and the fact that both Petal, aka Tyra, and Freya now have a wonderful forever home. Sabrina, my heart aches for you that your friend is gone, but just think of how awesome her life will be now. And don’t worry, I know she misses you too. We’ll be thinking about you this week, so you won’t be alone.
    Love,
