I’m ready for my close-up

I’ve always thought that I had a camera-ready face.  This weekend I’m going to put it to the test.

My favorite rescue has decided to put out a cookbook to raise funds to help the Pugs (and other dogs too) and asked mum to design the cover. After lots of thought and consideration, she called up my pal Shani’s mum and together they put together a plan for a great photo shoot.

I can’t give you too many details yet (frankly I have no idea what they have planned for us) but I can tell you this…

In preparation for this shoot, mum has been making me sit on the counter. She says she wants me to be comfortable on the unfamiliar and slippery surface.

When I’m not sitting on the counter, I’m getting brushed within an inch of my life.  If this mad brushing keeps up I’ll be bald before Sunday. I’m not sure about you, but I think I look better with fur. I hear there may even be a bath in my future.

Whew! Who knew being a cover girl was going to be so much work!

If you’d like to help make this cookbook a success, I hear that more recipe entries are needed. If you have a favorite recipe, or if your humans have one of their own, you can e-mail it to the rescue as a submission. Don’t forget to put whose name you submitting are submitting it on behalf of…. or in memory of.

Oh, and mum says, the recipe can’t list any brand names, even if Jiff is your favorite peanut butter. Just list it as peanut butter, ok?

The deadline for submissions is January 31, 2012. All recipes can be sent to btprmb@gmail.com and if you have any questions you can send them to that address as well. I’ll let you know when the cookbook is ready for sale.

About Sabrina's Pug Tails

My name is Sabrina. I am a three year old fawn pug who lives with my three humans and my brother-cat Shinobi. I came to live with my family in February of 2010. I don’t remember much about my life before that. I know that I didn’t have a nice warm bed to sleep in or soft couches to lay on. I was rescued from my previous life by the Boston Terrier & Pug Rescue of Southern Manitoba along with my brother, sister and mom. My human mum tells me that some dogs work at being smart and some work at being cute, and I am very, very cute. I think there may be some kind of insult here………
